 In accordance to the National Policy Of Education (1986), Government of India started  Navodaya Vidyalaya on an average one in each District, during Seventh Five Year plan. The Board aims for establish of Navodaya Vidyalayas (at present known as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya) are to serve the objective of excellence coupled with equity, to promote National Integration, provide opportunities to the talented children to develop their full potential and facilitate the process of social improvement.

Within this broad framework, the specific objectives of the Scheme are as follows :

• To provide good quality modern education - including a strong component of culture, inculcation of values, awareness of the environment, adventure activities and physical education - to talented children predominantly from the rural atmosphere without regard to their family's socio-economic condition.

• To ensure that all students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya attain a reasonable level of competence in three language envisaged in the Three Language Formula.

• To serve, in the district as focal points for improvements in quality education in general through sharing experience and facilities.

• Built-in mechanism of self-reliance, self-evaluation, character, rigueur and discipline in academic pursuit.

• Freedom of experimentation and innovation.

OUR VISION DURING YEARS TO COME :

• Academic excellence : 0% failure with all first division and 100% distinction.

• As part of class scheme, Government of India has assigned the responsibility to Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti to extend the facilities of Computer Education to the children of neighborhood schools, in each JNV where Computer Literacy Program is under operation. In continuation to this reference Computer Literacy Program will be extended in years to come till further notification or change in policies of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

• Conduct of seminars and visit to near by villages as part of Co-curricular activities to bring awareness of population education, adult education, social justice to female etc will be initiated along with guidelines received from NVS.

• Trained children of the Vidyalaya up to National level Games and Sports so as to allow them to choose the field as professional career and to prosper physically, mentally and

•  become an ideal citizen.

• Encourage Music and Art, not only as a hobby but to choose as a career to pursue a meaningful and purposeful future.

• To provide stress free environment.

• To provide the subject teachers into more effective contributory teachers towards teaching learning process more an application.

• Up gradation of competency level of the teachers by providing them content enrichment program through In-service Training program and usage of technology.

• Usage of computers in day to day activities including academic instructions.

• To adopt scholastic approach in all parameters.

• Establishment and maintenance of proper discipline in the Vidyalaya through transparency in administration.

• To provide good ambience and humanitarian environment to students.

• To be sensitive towards need base problems and finding out solution.

• Transformation of knowledge of the students in terms of concept formation and application in day to day life.

• To provide students enter life in a big way.

To live up to the hopes and aspiration of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti and the People of India
