One of the
important features of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme is scheme
of exchange of students from one Navodaya Vidyalaya in a
particular linguistic region to another Vidyalaya in a
different linguistic region to promote understanding of the
diversity and plurality of India's culture and people. The
migration take place generally between Hindi and Non-Hindi
speaking district. According to the scheme 30% pg children
from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Raisen, are migrated to
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Rajkot, Gujarat at Class 9th level.
The students are selected district magistrate, who are
ex-officio Chairman of the Vidyalaya, on the basis of
students, voluntary willingness and by lottery, if sufficient
number is not forthcoming on voluntary basis. Due precautions
are taken while transporting children form JNV Raisen to JNV Rajkot with Teacher
escort (Male & Female), one for every group of 10
children. By and large, we have been able to ensure that
children under migration are made to feel at home to the
extant possible by giving them special care and
attention.

Under mini migration
policy of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, children those who could
not secure required percentage in the 10th CBSE Board
examination during 2008, are given chance to continue their
higher studies other than science stream. Under mini migration
program No. of children sent to different Vidyalaya, is
