To consolidate the
position of India as a major player in the Global IT arena and
encourage schools towards achieving excellence in computer
literacy, the Ministry of Communication and Information
Technology, Dept. of IT, Govt. of India has recognized Jawahar
Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bari, Raisen (MP) for excellence in IT in
education sector. Hon'ble President of India Dr. A.P.J.Abdul
Kalam presented the State award under 3rd computer literacy
excellence award during 2004. Our Vidyalaya has received the
award comprises an amount of Rs. 1.5 lakhs, excellence
certificate and a trophy.

Our Vidyalaya has received this
honour on the basis of its excellent performance in imparting IT
in education not only in the Vidyalaya but also rural village
school students in the area. The computer literacy program for
neighboring village school children is organized every
year in the Vidyalaya during summer vacation.
We are also in receipt of Intel
National level competition for best Integration of Technology
Aided Learning school which is a part of Intel Innovation in
Education initiative and supporting program in education such as
'Intel teach the future'.

Master Kamlesh Sahu, Yashwardhan Manjhi
and Pranay Mohan Kabeer of class XII have received "Navodaya
Vidyalaya Samiti Technology Award - 2004 in collaboration with
Intel Teach to the Future at New Delhi Secretariat-Auditorium,
I.P.Estate.
