1986 , Jawahar
Navodaya Vidyalaya Raisen came to existence as Co-Educational Residential
School during 23rd March 1992 at Bari, a place 100km away from the capital
city Bhopal on the National Highway No. 12 (Jaipur-Bhopal-Jabalpur Road).
The nearest railway stations to reach Bari are : Pipariya-65km, Itarsi (via
Hoshangabad)- 75km, Bhopal-100km and Jabalpur- 265km. However, frequent
buses ply between Bhopal-Jabalpur, Itarsi-Hoshangabad-Baktara-Bari-Bareli,
and Pipariya-Bareli-Bari. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya , Bari, Raisen is
constructed in an area of 26 acre of land and with complete boarding and
lodging facilities with residential requirement like electricity water
supply etc.
FINANCIAL MATTER
:
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Raisen is fully
financed by the Government of India through an autonomous organization -
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), under the Ministry of Human Resource

The Vidyalaya Management committee works as advisory body to supervise general
functioning of the Vidyalaya. Know

SELECTION PROCEDURE
: As a
policy matter, 75% and 25% of children belong to rural and urban area
respectively are selected for admission in class 6th through selection test
(JNVST) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi (NV
Cell), every academic year and in 9th class against dropped
out or vacant seat (s). EFFORTS ARE BEING MADE TO ENSURE THAT ONE THIRD OF
STUDENTS ARE GIRLS.
FACILITIES TO ADMITTED
CHILDREN : We provide free
boarding and lodging facilities including
stationeries, text books, uniform, daily use items etc. to all children
admitted in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya , Raisen
LATERAL ADMISSION AT
CLASS 9TH LEVEL :
In order to
optimally utilize the infrastructure and facilities available in
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas it has been decided by the Navodaya Vidyalaya
Samiti to fill up the vacant seat in class 9th through an All India
Selection Test. The district-wise vacant seats in the Vidyalaya shall be
notified separately. Announcement in this regard shall be notified from time
to time.
CONTINUOUS COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION
:
Education is a unique investment and accountability is
possible only through a well planed mechanism of assessment with
reference to its objectives. The National Policy of Education 1986,
conceived the idea of introducing evaluation as an integral part of the
teaching - learning process and suggested that the process of continuous
and effective
testing be evolved by taking care of all three domains viz. COGNITIVE,
AFFECTIVE and PSYCHOMOTOR
AFFILIATION : Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Raisen is
affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and
students of the Vidyalaya appear for
10th and 12th class examination of the CBSE.
The CBSE affiliation Code of our Vidyalaya is
1040028 and Vidyalaya (School) No. is 03394.
STREAM :
We provide Science stream to the children of
class 12th with specialization in Computer Science, (IT )as optional
subject, so that children may gain best specialized professional
knowledge and get benefited with the modern technology.
SCOPE :
WHY YOU SHOULD GET YOUR CHILD ADMITTED IN
JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA , RAISEN : Full scope are being provided to
the children for innovation and experimentation in the Vidyalaya. The entire
activity is organized inter alia with a view to remove psychosocial
impediments to the development of personality and educational attainment
because of complex and prejudices transmitted through the social environment
and the accident of birth.
FEES :
While education is free including boarding
and lodging, uniform, text books and stationary, a nominal fee of Rs. 200/-
will have to be paid by the children from class 9th . However, children
belonging to SC/ST, Girls, Physically Handicapped and from the families
whose income is below poverty line are exempted from paying fees.
MIGRATION
:
AS PART OF POLICY MATTERS AND TO GIVE EMPHASIS
ON NATIONAL INTEGRATION POLICY STUDENTS FROM THE VIDYALAYA (JNV
RAISEN) WILL BE
MIGRATED TO JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA, RAJKOT, GUJARAT FOR ONE ACADEMIC
YEAR.
